Interesting suggestion, but...
It's not possible, whilst there are two distinct editorial styles and viewpoints.
In addition, it becomes quite labour intensive to take text (in the Magazine's case sourced in MS Windows and then to publisher software)and then to integrate it with the site.
Common files like PDFs are fine, but the outcome is not integration, merely a stick-on which looks quite out of place within the style of the website. Someone else tried it last year without success.
There are ways to achieve it relatively successfully, but (in my experience) there isn't a desire to achieve integration. Unless someone from The Town Magazine would like to approach us with a proposition...
But apart from the editorial styles, it's the time consuming effort required - that's why newspapers and other media outlets often have an army of people (at huge expense) just tending to the webiste alone.
