I agree. We've just returned from Sunday lunch there and it was very good. The toilets are clean with fresh soap and a clean towel and the garden area looked inviting. it's definitely somewhere we will take our family when they next visit as there is room for 2 boisterous boys to run around in the garden.

I spoke to the boss lady who was doing the cooking and told her about this conversation. She agreed that the front didn't do the place justice but she said she has been having trouble getting the front renovation organised due to the weather. they have organised scaffolding a number of times now and been thwarted each time.

I will certainly be writing a good recommendation for it in the guest book of the accommodation.

I see the outside is also getting it's facelift this week too. Someone told me yesterday that the lady who is the boss there and does the cooking, used to cook at the Bridge. Also noticed today that the 'opening in july' notice has gone from the Bridge noticeboard so maybe not opening after all!

But there has been activity during the past week, man with van there on the two or three occasions I've driven past and a car parked outside the "front door" last evening.

well lets hope the Bridge does reopen.

It would be a shame to lose this pub completly the same way that we did with the Carps.

Also I noticed that the G&A resturant was looking very nice through the window on friday.

I really must try and persuade her indoors to take me for a meal there.
