Not for me a bit like an army naafi. More suitable to a working mans club.

I've just been reading through this thread and would like to add something.

My boyfriend (boyfriend ha! ha! he's 67)and I went to The Crown last night for their steak evening. We both had a 10oz sirloin steak and chips, with all the trimmings. BF had a pint of Fosters and I had a glass of wine. We couldn't fault it at all, it was nicely presented, tasted delicious and was good value for £8 each. The restaurant was also laid out in a nice, clean way.

I'm hoping I can twist my BF's arm to take me there on a regular basis. I've also heard their curry night is popular and I would like to try that some time.

We have some special friends in Crowland (so to speak) and on your recommendation Sunflower, I'm prepared to give it another try.

We go there for Sunday Lunch on a regular basis. The food is always good quality.

Especially good now the weather is warm and you can move out into the Beer Garden after you've finished eating and enjoy the sun

This is just to let you know that the Crown is not giving a free drink now with their steak meals. The meal was still excellent and the chips were to die for!

I also agree that the food at the Crown Inn is exceptionaly good!! We had a nice walk there the other week and everything was home made on the premises! (Something hard to find these days)! Apparently the meat is from Frisbys butchers and it did taste very good.

I will definitely return but my only critism is the 'Hall like' restaurant. If they could only improve on the atmosphere it will be the best place for a Sunday Roast in the whole of Lincolnshire in my opinion.

So George and Angel surroundings with the Crown Inn's food....... perfect!
