We are looking to find people who have committed to a Neighbourhood Watch scheme in and around crowland.

As the nights draw in, crime (especially burglaries) often go on the increase. We'd like to hear from anyone about their scheme with a view to starting a Neighbourhood Watch Group Forum. And anyone else who would like to support this.

I have been a Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator since 1991. Crowland used to be known a a "Neighbourhood Watch Town" as there was such good coverage of schemes. Several efforts have been made to stimulate interest in NW but only a few schemes still exist. There is also the Neighbourhood Panel where people can report ongoing problems (using cards in the Post Office, Library etc) and the panel chose three priorities every 3 months for Police interest.

If we can revive this with support through a Crowland Community Group Forum, is this something you feel you could lend support to with backup from Crowland Links?

We now have the opportunity (online) to link with one another. In addition, we can also motive others to make contact with a wider community by word-of-mouth, and through this website.
