But the cars wouldn't "work well" without the petrol!

Good point, well made CM.
I know a lot of people bougt petrol from there but it obviously wasn't enough. With the new A16 there will be less passing trade.
I also understand the petrol cost Jim more than he could sell it for so probably not an option.

On second thoughts that might not be right.
Assumingthe traffic is coming from North or east of Spalding the nearest filling station will have been at the roundabout at Springfields.
Coming from the South the nearest station will have been the services on the A1 as the traffic no longer passes through Eye Green.

Ironically it could become a prime location.

A while ago the highways people contacted the Crowland Chamber of Trade to discuss what services should be detailed on the brown sign to be placed by the nearest roundabout to Crowland. I suppose that the sign has now been made up and possibly includes the garage or petrol station. It will be interesting to see if it does.

Reminding new members that making ficticious claims about services will be removed - as you will note.

Before you post again check out your profile and you will see your ad in Classifieds is listed under your username - so it doesn't need a genious to link the two together.
