Now that the local mechanics at the garage have go does anyone recommend a good local mechanic that is trustworthy that can perform service and MOTs?

See MP Autocare advert on this site. It is a new business and the owner/mechanic lives in Crowland and was trained by Bob Dartnell at the garage in Crowland.

Try Broadway Garage in North Street.
Dave Wycherley has been going for nearly 40 years.

Since moving to Crowland 5 years ago, we have always used the garage for Mot and servicing/repairs. At one stage there were three cars in my household using it's services and we bought petrol on our way to work in Peterbough plus chocs, sweets, and other items. In fact we had our Mot done and a repair the day before it closed, but Jim never mentioned a word about closure. It has hit our family hard as we now have to look for future garage servises.

I noticed on my way by tonight that Rogers Body shop sign has been replaced with a "Richards Body Shop" sign.

Roger has retired, so a good idea to rename. Richard is as straight as they come, nice guy.

I think Jim's premises would work well without the petrol as service & MOT centre and mini mart.

That end of town needs a local shop and many people used it for papers etc.
