So, today, more temporary traffic lights to endure !!!

What IS happening with the new A1073 ? If anything ???

For many months ago now it has appeared to be 99% complete and over those months the inactivity has been totally underwhelming !!!

But still we have to endure temporary traffic lights and delays whilst a couple of gardeners move the topsoil and weeds around the roadsides !!!

I have asked Lincs Highways for a status report but predictably they have declined to respond !!

Surely this is not going to continue to October ????

Morgan-Est must be having a laugh ?!?! .....at our expense !?!?!?

I have "end of July" as current forecast opening date.

Indeed so. Week of 26th July is road opening time.
Week of 2nd Aug until March 2014 is road maintenance for new drains and utilities.

Really ? That is good to hear !!
I'm off out of town for the next few weeks then !!!

I did review these pics myself but they are 6 weeks old ???

Some show sections of the road complete others show a fair amount of work to be done.

Which again beggars the question of the apparent inactivity in evidence and whether the road could not have been completed and open some time ago !!

I understand that there were problems with the Carr Dyke bridge, these and last winter delayed progress. The bridge problem(s) have been resolved so roll on July...........

Have you noticed that Morgan Est are no more its now Morgan Sindall!

I dont care what they want to call themselves this week, just bloody get on with it and get it opened already!

It will be great when it is finally open, it means I can get to work in less than 30mins woop!
