How do I change forum preferences so I don't get email everytime someone posts on a subject I have commented on?

Everytime you reply to, or start a new topic, you are automatically "subscribed" to the topic. To unsubscribe yourself from a topic (at anytime):

Login using your username and password. Go into the thread you are getting emails about.
At the top to the left you will see a number of colourful tabs above the topic title box. Click on the one that says "Unsubscribe." After a second or so you will see a message at the top saying something like "you are now unsubscribed from this topic." The "unsubscribe" tab will have now turned into the "subscribe" tab.

You're done.

If you wish to get email alerts about a topic simply click the "subscribe" tab.

Glad it was that simple. Like the puppy. Has wildwoman become puppy lady?

Absolutely. Sleep deprived, no social life (until Saturday when her immunisations kick in) wearing shredded trousers, covered in fluff and there is also that strange smell... Who would be a "puppy mummy"? Me!

Yes, I wasn't going to mention that.
