You would think putting 8 solid hours into a London city office, and commuting back and forth from Crowland every day is enough for most people, but not 33-year-old motorbike enthusiast Ian Owen of Crowland. In what he describes jokingly as the rest of his day, he spends it promoting and developing his website Motorbike Search Engine.

“I started motorbike-search-engine.co.uk back in 2003”, says father of four Ian. “It started as a hobby for the winter months, but soon turned into something much bigger. I had no experience with websites back then. I bought a 4-inch thick book called Teach Yourself Web Publishing with HTML 4 and got to work. It’s been very hard work since, but also very rewarding – I can easily spend up to 4 hours a night promoting the site and writing new pages.”

The result of Ian’s 5-year passion is a website that attracts over 6,000 visitors per day and has over 4,000 pages of content! And within the motorbike industry, Ian has created a website that is known throughout the world. “I am very happy and proud of what has been achieved,” says Ian. “I regularly receive compliments about how nice the site looks.”
