Where to Crowland?

What Crowland needs is NOT a "fluffy" music festival (the Abbey already do a splendid job in this quarter, catering for most classical tastes). No! What Crowland needs is a ROCK event! Something to challenge and engage the younger age groups.

If the good people of this excellent county think about it, the young in most towns throughout England have ideas, and some pretty darn good ideas. But not only ideas, they have talent. So let them shine.

Music motivates and stimulates. It also gives opportunity for some to realise their ambition. And we're not talking here about getting to shake hands with Simon Cowell over a £1million signature. We're talking about the realisation of someone under the age of 21 years old, that there is more to ambition than being mobbed by a delinquent crowd entering the Big Brother house.

The posting on bbop's profile of the YouTube rock guitarist playing Pachelbel's Canon (in D Major, for the more enlightened) just shows how far the talented can push the limit - and Crowland wants a piece of it.
