Established in 1995, Crowland Cares aims to provide additional care, comfort and support for people in and around the Crowland area who have health or social care needs.

We are a registered charity run by a voluntary management committee, and our volunteers work with us to give extra help to people living at home and their carers. Our services are mostly free or otherwise affordable, and open to anyone in the area who feels they would benefit in any way from our help. We cover Crowland, Holbeach Drove, Cowbit, Whaplode Drove, Gedney Hill, Deeping St Nicholas and surrounding areas.

From our Help Desk at the Crowland Libary, we offer an information service signposting to services including:

• Health, social and housing.
• We drive people to hospital, GP surgeries and other necessary appointments.
• We also offer a visiting/befriending service to people at home.
• We shop and collect prescriptions during illness; help with form filling and letter writing.
• We offer a range of social activities eg Lunch Club, monthly evening meal, craft groups and outings.

Our Help Desk is open at the Library from 9.30am -12.30pm Monday to Friday.

We are always looking out for new volunteers, whether it's helping out on the Desk on an occasional basis; assisting at one of our groups; or visiting-befriending an elderly-disabled person who is socially isolated - please get in touch for more information if you are interested.

Alternatively, why not become a Member, which costs just a few pounds a year? For this you will get a newsletter 4 times a year, and the money raised goes towards helping us continue with our work in the local community.
