Saturday Walks 6 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 2
There is a second walking group. We call ourselves the Saturday Strollers. We go further afield and walk further too.
We meet outside St.Guthlac's school by 10:55 on alternate Saturdays to arrange transport and leave at 11am sharp.
Bring a picnic. Wear sensible shoes or boots.
Next Saturday [March 6th] we will be walking in Milton Park, Peterbrough.
There is no walk on Sat.20th March as we are walking on the new A16 instead. Anyone wishing to join us will have to put their application in by March 14th It's a 5km walk from the old Radar Corner.
On April 3rd the walk will be in and around Fotheringhay. Last time we did that walk we saw men 'tickling trout'. That was fascinating to watch.
Sometimes we find a pub or a garden centre and we might stop for refreshments or just to use their facilities.
We don't walk fast.
We are a friendly bunch.
You will be made welcome.

You see - not happy getting us all out on a Wednesday, they go and want Saturdays too.

Definitely a must for people who can't make Wednesday. Now that Spring is just about upon us, this is something to shake the Winter cobwebs from your legs (and other places too).

Our last Saturday walk was most enjoyable and the sun shone all the time we were out. I think there were 18 of us. We walked in and around Milton Park. The golf course was a bit dodgy. Those balls can come from any direction apparently.
There isn't a walk on Sat.20th March because most of us are doing the Radar Challenge on Sunday 21st March. Applications have to be in by March 14th so if you want to join us you'll have to be super quick.
Easter Saturday [Apr.3rd] we will be walking around Fotherinhay. It's a treat of a walk. Meet at St.Guthlac's school to arrange transport by 10:55am.
